Totalmente recomendable. Un sitio con vistas preciosas y qué decir de su servicio, Ro es una persona estupenda, nos tocó tratar casi siempre con él y nos hizo sentir como en casa. Nos compartió mucha sabiduría y amabilidad inmejorable. Los desayunos muy ricos y saludables.

Super Hostel, sehr sauber und das Personal (Ro) ist sehr! hilfsbereit und gibt einem eine gute Auswahl von Optionen für Tagestouren an, welche teilweise auch günstig und schön sind.
Die Hostelküche ist klein, aber sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist super und man sieht etwas "rum".
Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis ist super!!!

Very small campground, but the most wonderful and helpfull owner. Small river for a morning dip, but there is a (somewhat) hot shower as well. We saw butterflies and hummingbirds.

Tivemos uma ótima experiência ficando no camping do Charlie, que também é a casa dele, tudo bem organizado e limpo! Charlie foi muito simpático!

El mejor lugar del mundo sin duda, Charly es una persona estupenda, nos recomendó muchísimos lugares, con pocos días nos hizo sentir en casa definitivamente, la propiedad es pequeña pero con todo lo necesario para pasar días increíbles, tiene un pequeño rio detrás qué es muy relajante a la hora de dormir. Monteverde fue lindo, pero este lugar y su anfitrión lo hicieron especial

Nos encantó este B&B. Es muy acogedor. Tiene una vista panorámica maravillosa al Bosque Nuboso y espacios cómodos y lindos para disfrutar. Ideal para pasar las tardes de lluvia. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y todo huele a ropa recién lavada y seca.(eso se agradece en un entorno tan húmedo) . Las personas a cargo te hacen sentir en casa. Nos recibió Ro, quien nos explicó todo de Monteverde y nos ayudó a planificar nuestra estadía con actividades y datos super buenos. La ubicación también es privilegiada, ya que está a pasos del centro de Santa Elena y con todo a la mano. Tiene estacionamiento gratuito, buenos desayunos y puedes ocupar la cocina.

Hoy quiero escribirte estas palabras llenas de gratitud y amor desde lo más profundo de mi corazón. No hay suficientes palabras para expresar lo agradecidos que estamos mi amor y yo por haberte conocido y por todo lo que has compartido con nosotros en esta tierra bendita que es Costa Rica.

Recuerdo esa noche mágica en la que nos encontramos bajo el resplandor de la luna, en medio de la brisa cálida que acariciaba nuestros rostros. El universo parecía conspirar para que nuestros caminos se cruzaran, y así fue. Fue en ese instante en el que nos dimos cuenta de que estábamos destinados a ser amigos, a ser familia.

Nunca olvidaré aquel momento en el que nos abriste las puertas de tu hogar con una sonrisa cálida y sincera. Desde el primer instante, nos hiciste sentir como en casa. Tus palabras y gestos de bienvenida nos envolvieron en un abrazo de amistad y confianza que difícilmente podré olvidar. No importa de dónde veníamos ni qué habíamos dejado atrás, en ese momento éramos todos uno, compartiendo un vínculo especial.

Y aquel humo suave y aromático que compartimos esa noche, ahí sentados, viendo las estrellas y dejando que nuestras risas llenaran el aire. Fue un momento de comunión, de conexión profunda con la naturaleza y contigo, un ser especial que nos brindó su tiempo, su energía y su amor.

No puedo dejar de mencionar el café, el néctar oscuro y delicioso que nos ofreciste con orgullo. Cada taza era un pequeño ritual, un encuentro sagrado con la esencia misma de Costa Rica. Tu café era más que una bebida, era una ventana a tu paraíso, un regalo que nos diste con generosidad y que apreciamos con todo nuestro ser.

Costa Rica se ha convertido en un lugar sagrado para nosotros, gracias a personas como tú que nos han enseñado el verdadero significado de la hospitalidad y la amistad. Nos sentimos bendecidos de haber encontrado este rincón del mundo y de haber conocido a alguien tan especial como tú.

Mi querido amigo, gracias por abrirnos las puertas de tu hogar, pero sobre todo, gracias por abrirnos las puertas de tu corazón. Valoramos cada momento que compartimos juntos, y siempre llevaremos esos recuerdos en nuestro interior, como un tesoro eterno.

A perfect place to stay in Santa Elena. It’s 3 minute walk into the town, with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. The rooms in the main building tend to be smaller than the rooms in the next building (the one I stayed). My room had an amazing view over the valley and town, the same view from the terrace which is the perfect spot to have breakfast or to chill.

Si realmente quieres experimentar Monteverde, este lugar es perfecto. Y eso es gracias a Charly, su dueño.
El es local, y una fantástica persona con mucho conocimiento sobre la zona y sobretodo con muchas ganas de compartirlo. Somos dos mujeres viajando solas, y no nos habíamos sentido tan seguras en ningún lado en Costa Rica como acá. Pasamos tres noches, y Charly se volvió como familia de repente. Una persona que seguramente quieras conocer.
Su propiedad es hermosa, muy tranquila y serena. Llena de plantas y animales para apreciar en el día a día, y un río recorre el costado de la propiedad, perfecto para desconectar. También esta en la avenida principal, hay miradores, restaurantes y varias reservas para visitar cerca. Tiene todas las facilidades, cocina, wifi, electricidad, baño y agua caliente.
Muy muy recomendado! Realmente vale la pena ❤️‍????????????

This is my 3rd time staying here, and each time I come back, I can see they've made improvements to the property. This is a small mountain town, so you shouldn't come with the expectations of a hotel in the city. And while the beds may be hard, what keeps me coming back to this specific one, is that it feels like family. They're so friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to talk to. You should also check out their coffee tour which focuses more on coffee instead of the 3-in-1 type tours. They're located right in downtown Santa Elena. With a 2 min walk up a steep street, you'll have all the shops and restaurants for everything you might need. We're vegan and they offered to make us something vegan for breakfast if we needed, but there's also restaurants and a coffee shop with good vegan options just 2 minutes away. If I make it back to Monteverde in the future, I'll for sure be staying here.

Darüber hinaus ist die Unterkunft super! Preis-Leistung stimmt, die Küche ist blitzsauber, alles glänzt, es gibt immer frische Geschirrtücher und das Frühstück wird mit Liebe zubereitet!

Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste Hostel, welches ich während meiner Reise durch Costa Rica hatte. Der Straßenlärm in der Nacht war grauenvoll, die Zimmer zwar sauber, aber alles andere als schön und die Besitzerin für die eingentlich costaricanische Freundlichkeit sehr unfreundlich und genervt.
Ich musste dann in ein anderes Zimmer umziehen, welches zwar minimal ruhiger war, jedoch mehr einer Gefängniszelle glich, als einem Zimmer! Dafür musste ich auch noch 20$ (!) extra zahlen, für die ich auch nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung keine Rechnung erhalten habe.
Dieses Hostel hat meinen Aufenthalt in Monteverde leider sehr eingetrübt und auch wenn es "nur" ein Hostel ist, ist der Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.

Super helpful with everything we could ever need and great breakfast

The beds were very hard and the waste bin in the toilet hasn't been emptied for four days. Otherwise it was great, the shared kitchen has everything you need, the overall atmosphere was really nice and it was very easy to book the tours you want to do.

We stayed at Cabinas El Pueblo for two nights and it was the most pleasant stay. Our room was super clean, as well as the private bathroom. Showers had hot water with good pressure, and beds had plenty of blankets to sleep comfortably. Also Marlenys was an EXCELLENT host. She not only helped us plan our activities and book them, but also fought with one of the activities managers when something wasn't as expected, and fixed everything for us. Truly remarkable. Thank you so much for everything!!

Very cute B&B with a lovely hostess. She helped us set up tours and transportation and was so friendly and helpful! Rooms were comfy, cute and clean. Also the location is perfect! Especially for us since we didn’t rent a car. Would definitely stay again! Pura Vida!

better camping in the World, you have everything you need and more. Contact with the nature, with animals and with the montains and rivers. (also wifi, shower and kitchen ????) is Charlie's home, and hes the Best host in the World, he Will give you everything you need and much love and good vibe ????

100% recommend this camping! We stayed for 2 nights and got to meet the lovely Charlie. He is ‘pura vida’ in person. He is very helpful: we could set up our tent on his terrace because it would rain, he gave us advice about our tour and even helped us fix our car. This is the camping you have to be in Monteverde!
Good to know: there was good wifi, clean toilets/shower, potable water, kitchen outside, and paid €10 pp/pn

I hated the room... I'm sure there were nicer ones tho. Absolutely cannot fault Marlenny (the owner) she was always helpful and kind, and the location was great.

What a fabulous little place, the larger than life Charlie is an incredible host sharing food with us and with great stories to tell. His battered old bus is full of character and has a nice little covered seating area out the front. He had a fire pit on the go when we arrived. Mi casa su casa is his mantra.
