We booked Insiders Travel tour of Los Caracoles and had a wonderful time with Michael as our guide. I doubt without the tour we would have understood the magnificent story of this longstanding family owned restaurant. We were fortunate to meet the 3rd. (?) generation owner and she was so fun to interact with. The stories of each of the individual dining rooms, the many photographs, and of course the food, makes this a worthwhile visit. The tour starts about 1 hour before opening so you have time to explore and learn the history.

We had a lovely evening in the restaurant. The ambience can't be beaten and the food was delicious. The service had forgotten us for a moment with the wine. When we mentioned this to him, he immediately apologized and served us a glass of wine on the house.

Locale caratteristico di Barcellona, da fuori sembra piccolino ma non lo è assolutamente, su più piani e si estende in lunghezza. Mangiato benissimo, calamari dal mare alla griglia, pollo arrosto con patate, gamberi all aglio e crema catalano. Tutto ottimo, vino così così a detta delle amiche (io non me ne intendo) ottimo servizio e allegro. Li consiglio

Un voyage dans le temps dans ce restaurant anachronique, ou l'atmosphère fait son charme. La cuisine est bonne,on peut trouver moins cher,mais le dépaysement compense largement .

Fue gracioso, le pedí un plato más para dar una parte a mi compañero y el camarero me contestó que la paella solo era para uno????????????, y no quiso darme un plato nuevo, no insistí más, pero era la primera vez que me dice eso????

Très beau restaurant typique avec un accueil très chaleureux dans une petite rue. Les paellas sont excellentes et le poulet grillé à l'entrée du restaurant est succulent.

Excellent restaurant. Nous avons pris paella mixte et un 1/2 poulet, extra. Je vous conseille de venir faire l'expérience de la paella

Superbe adresse
Une grande tablée de 17 personnes ravie des variétés de paella proposées.
Allez y les yeux fermés.
Le staff est au top.
Très bonne sangria.
Je recommande à 100%

Belle expérience.
Les plats ne sont pas exceptionnels mais l'ambiance est très particulière, on est hors du temps.
Service rapide, serveurs pro même s'ils pourraient sourire un peu plus ( ça dépend sur lequel on tombe bien sûr).
Bon moment passé et on a tes correctement dîné et c'est bien ça le principal.

Menjar molt just en quant a qualitat.
El servei gens amable. I l'ambient regular. Vaig trucar amb molta antelació per reservar i ens van posar al costat de la cuina on es crida constantment. O sigui q no van tenir cap mirament.

Dans un premier temps, on y vient pour sa renommée. Restaurant emblématique de Barcelone, dans une petite rue à côté de las Ramblas. Magnifique restaurant avec plusieurs coups de cœur, tout d'abord les poulets qui cuisent à l'extérieur et sa façade historique. L'intérieur est dépaysant on traverse la cuisine et ses énormes fourneaux pour rejoindre une des salles à la décoration atypique. On peut y découvrir des centaines de cadres àvec des photos de célébrités venues y déjeuner. Des jambons suspendus, un magnifique escalier en bois, une fontaine. Et en plus on y mange très bien, les croquettes sont excellentes de même que les œufs truffés, la salade, la crème catalane. Et la sangria y est délicieuse. On s'est régalés.

Unfortunately, neither the service or food lives up to the expectations indicated by the awesome historic rooms and relatively high prices. Go somewhere else.

Although this is one of the most famous restaurants in Barcelona, with nice atmosphere during the entrance via the kitchen and as long as you walk to your table, the overall experience did not match the expectations. The full was overpriced and of no such quality for the given price, the waiters barely spoke English and were confused with the order twice. There was no music and there were annoying sounds from the service people with plates hitting the bar. In such a people, one would expect more delicate and calm environment.

Restaurant très sympa!
L'entrée toute petite qui cache de grandes salles derrière, c'est super!
L'ambiance était très calme au départ et petit à petit les gens qui rentrent font le fond musical du restaurant.
