Le Baccarat Hotel est la quintessence du luxe français made in New York. L'établissement, situé à deux pas du MoMA, est fréquenté par une clientèle très BCBG, ce qui n'a rien d'étonnant lorsque l'on voit les tarifs pratiqués. Il faut dire que le luxe y est omniprésent : chaque chambre est dotée d'un chandelier en cristal (Baccarat oblige) et possède une décoration, chic et contemporaine, d'inspiration parisienne. La piscine et la salle de sport ne sont que la cerise sur le gâteau. L'endroit est en outre connu pour son Afternoon Tea.

Was dining at the Grand salon, food and service at the salon was absolutely phenomenal. However, I failed to appreciate the distasteful behavior of the staff managing the common areas. It would have been more appealing and polite to ask if there were any specific concerns that could be addressed rather than yelling.

Wonderful luxury hotel. The service is impeccable. When you check in you'll be handled a skeleton key. It is decorative, but it gives you an old world feeling. The rooms were expertly and elegantly appointed. Enjoy the 540 toiletries. The shower has a view into the guest room which was a nice surprise. The bed and pillows were amazing. Leave your housekeeping light on and the will provide turn down service. I came into my room with the bed turned down, a full bucket of ice, water and macarons. Have tea in the Great Salon. Visit the spa and enjoy the pool. My only criticism is that you can hear the rumble of the subway at the spa. Also, the hallway for the elevator gets very congested when you are going to tea or trying to get to the front desk.

So let’s start by saying that it’s a truly beautiful hotel. Rooms are also top luxury.

That said, the service can be lacking.

Example: fire alarm sounded and it was a false alarm. No problem. But after they determined that everyone could return to their rooms, the alarm kept going off for 30 minutes!!!! This happened at 3 am

No apology or any kind of gesture to rectify the event.

Check out was also very cold. No mention of the issues. They just didn’t want to engage in conversation. Didn’t feel right.
