Most people visit Mikumi National Park expecting to spot the ‘Big Four’ (cheetah, lion, elephant & buffalo) and other animals in the park like giraffe, zebras, impala, eland, kudu, black antelope, baboons and wildebeests. Chances of seeing a lion who climbs a tree trunk is larger. Udzungwa mountains national park is the most biodiversity mountains and is unique by harboring some of the endemic flora and fauna that cannot be found anywhere on earth except Udzungwa hence referred to as the “Centre of endemism”. Détail du séjour : 4days 3 night Zanzibar -mikumi national park and udzungwa waterfalls - 4 jours
Jour 1: Zanzibar -Dar es salaam -Mikumi national
You will be picked at Dar es salaam ferry early morning (7am) and drive to Mikumi National Park via Chalinze and Morogoro towns, this drive will take up to 7hrs. Plan on being on the road by 6:00 am,in order to arrive at the gate in time for a full day of wildlife viewing. You will first stop by the growing town of Morogoro, set beside the Uluguru Mountains, for breakfast before continuing on to Mikumi. On arrival you will enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge and continue the adventure through the late afternoon and until the early evening when you will drive back to the Lodge
Jour 2: Mikumi Full Game Viewing
After breakfast, will to leave to Mantis lodge for the full game drive with a packed lunch. Animals commonly found here include lion, elephant and, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephant. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular centerpiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains.
Jour 3: mikumi to udzungwa Waterfalls
After breakfast you will drive to Udzungwa National park with packed lunch boxes which is just like 1.5hrs from Mikumi and on arrival you will enter Udzungwa National park with a ranger and you will go and hike in Udzungwa Mountains, visit the waterfalls and swim in the cool water below the waterfalls. In the late afternoon, you will walk back to Hondo hondo Lodge for overnight.
Jour 4: Udzungwa waterfalls to Dar es Salaam city back Zanzibar
After breakfast you will drive back to Dar es Salaam back to Zanzibar by boat ferry
