The service was fantastic. The food was good, not outstanding for the price, but the atmosphere, staff, and cleanliness were perfect.

Loved the ambiance. The bartender was very helpful. An absolutely delightful placecwith old fashion charm.

Dinner on the porch a few months ago. I waited at my table while 3 women of the wait staff stood 5 feet from me. Finally I asked if I should go to the bar for a glass of wine. 20 minutes again and the waitress arrived. I order a wedge salad, it was the solid white core of the lettuce and inedible. I had shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were not orange in color. They were grayish with dark red veins on them. The bread basket used to be filled with a few different, tasty breads. Now one soft, blond roll for the whole table of four. The second glass of wine arrived at the end of the meal. Please don’t anyone order the, “ tavern rice!” It is tasteless, brown slop with a few bits of carrots. What a huge embarrassment and disappointment to my guests. I’ve been dining at the Sherwood for over forty years. In the past it was an exemplary experience. Now the talk about town is that it is no longer an option. What a shame.
