Overall good with a few minor issues. Our family wanted a good home base for a few days while staying in Baton Rouge that had a pool and free breakfast. This place had both and while it might need a few cosmetic upgrades, it had clean and spacious amenities. It’s also got a great location off I-10 and it’s pretty close to LSU. If you got a family of 5+, the suites got two decent sized bedrooms and a good sized common area with a pull out bed.

Our main qualm was that the breakfast area sometimes got crowded and you had to wait to make a waffle. The other thing was that the coffee was subpar. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful with our needs. We’d probably stay here again.

I have a reservation at this hotel since January. A week ago I requested a change in the reservation. They did not process it and they charged me last night and today when I arrive at the hotel the reception tells me my room is not ready and they will not receive me until the evening. this had never happened to me.

We got a suite as the stay was for 3 nights. The rooms included a separate kitchenette and living area. Through a separate door were the 2 queen beds and bathroom. A nice stay.

The check in clerk was very helpful with information on the area. The cleanliness of the room was awful. There's mold in the room, ceiling appeared to be falling in. The couch was so nasty looking we didn't even want to sit on it. The lamp shades have huge stains on them. Our bath towels did not appear to be clean as there was other peoples hairs weaved in the towel. The bed was very uncomfortable, had a hole in the middle that both my husband and I rolled into when we laid on top of the bed. We didn't even want to cover up w the blankets. We slept in our clothes on top of the blankets.

I really liked this hotel before because it's location. It needs some TLC. It is used but serviceable. Things are a bit worn. One beef that I have is no happy hour on a Tuesday. All Homewood Suites I have stayed at have a happy hour Monday through Thursday.

Next time through, I will stay at the Tru or Home2Suites right next store. And cheaper too.

Room service was very rude. Overall our stay there was great.

Stay was amazing. Everyone was helpful and had positive attitudes. I will definitely stay here again.

Tub dud not drain well, some of the furniture was way to soft and felt like you sank into it. Kitchenette under the micro wave and extractor filters greassy and needing degreassing.
Breakfast was okay.

Great friendly service and centrally located near restaurants and LSU

First, I want to say that the night manager or desk person the night we checked in was really nice and accommodating, but she shouldn't have had to be so hands-on for us.

Room #1 - The first thing we see is the couch cushion torn as we walk in. Go into the bathroom, and someone had used it and not flushed. Gross! Called the front desk and asked if the room had been cleaned because of this. They sent up keys to a new room.

Room #2 - Couch intact, bathroom looks clean, kitchen floor filthy, turn down bed to check for bed bugs like I always do and bed sheets look slept in and there are hairs!

Room #3 - manager had to go preview a couple rooms before she brought us keys and said the room would meet our standards. It was OK, bed was clean, no bed bug traces, bathroom appeared clean, kitchen floor was mostly clean, but someone should wash the windows because someone had spent time kissing ours and left lipstick lip marks in 4 places. Ceiling was also obviously patched in many places, so hopefully they'll fix that in renovations.

Night 1 manager said that they are awaiting materials to start with their renovation. That would help a lot. The furniture definitely needs some help, the bed was well worn, at least on my side of the bed, and all the chairs and couch had some staining or dirt. The location was convenient to downtown without being downtown. Lots of food options a short drive away and very convenient to 10 & 12 for traveling to airports and other cities. Manager/ clerk was great, but her professionalism still didn't help me feel overall good about the stay. The dirty state of all 3 rooms means I wouldn't go back unless they were renovated and all other local options weren't available. Again, I do want to say she was a great employee, friendly and accommodating, and she should get recognition for trying to make up for housekeeping being bad.

Rooms have visible stains in the furniture, kitchen isn’t cleaned well enough it doesn’t smell fresh. Made a complaint and the front seat wouldn’t give me the information to higher management because she is not a liberty to do so!! Hilton come on it’s time to upgrade and teach some customer service skills

The bed looked like the sheets had not been changed and there was hair.

Very nice, would stay here again. The breakfast could be better but it also could be way worse so…
The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I feel this property, especially the overnight staff, deserved the recognition.

Besides clean and modern rooms, the property team, especially Q, went above and beyond to help, accommodate guests, and did so with a positive attitude. If Hilton properties value their loyalty members, they should adopt the habits and practices of this location.

My only complaint is that they started charging 5 dollars a night for parking which I consider to be ticky tack. Especially given that I currently hold Diamond Member status

100% recommend! Felt like home. The suite was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!

We were happy with Homewood Suites for our stay. We've stayed at several hotels in Baton Rouge and this one was one of the cleanest and the rooms were big enough to fit our family. The breakfast was decent and the lobby was spacious and clean.
