It's hard to find good food and an authentic atmosphere in Venice. This is a good intro for dinner.

We ate at a Michelin rated restaurant prior to this meal and this one far surpassed it.

The crudo di scampi is easily one of the best starters I've had in the continent. Perfectly balanced and executed.

Portions were generous and the server provided a wine pairing for every dish that was spot on.

Highly recommend. It was the best meal we had in Venice.

Con un po' di fortuna si riesce a prenotare per tempo, visto che il posto è molto piccolo e non ha molti posti a sedere.
Personale accogliente e preparatissimo.
Le pietanze sono eccezionali! Pesce di qualità superiore, anche i crudi sono ottimi. Tutto perfetto, dagli antipasti al secondo.

Tucked away on Calle del Mondo Novo, more so currently than usual as a result of construction scaffolds, Osteria alle Testiere is a rare find in Venice thanks to a focus of daily catch and a complete lack of touristy flare.

Best seen as a Bacaro, just ten tables and a small kitchen despite the extensive Wine list, guests visiting at lunch or dinner will find simple wood tables and beige linens while the lack of decorations puts focus on Food, Beverage and conversation.

Prone to seasonal Produce in addition to Shellfish, an opening volley of Baccala atop grilled Cornmeal simple yet faultless, Pastas run €26 and include traditional Spaghetti with Clams alongside Ravioli laced with Bitter Greens offset by creamy Crab Sauce.

More provocative by way of tender Dumplings served with Squid in their Ink perfumed by Cinnamon Dessert offers a variety of choices, though those in the know won’t think twice before ordering tender Pistachio Cake crowned by a scoop of housemade Gelato.

We weren't able to make our reservation because of health concerns and they charged us $108 USD just for missing our reservation because we were sick. Unbelievable, never trust this place, do not go to this restaurant!!!

Incredible food: a place where chefs dine. Inventive menu, top notch service all in a cozy atmosphere. Reservations are a must, but well worth it - a real gem in the heart of Venice.

J’étais tellement contente d’avoir eu une table dans ce restaurant mais au final je suis déçue . Très bon accueil, très bonne ambiance . Nous avons pris des poissons , ils étaient bons mais ce n’était clairement pas incroyable, un tiramisu pour 2 et un verre de vin chacun. Et au final une note de 110e … ça ne les vaut clairement pas. Nous sommes deux fines gueules, habitués à de bon restaurants français, je sais nous sommes à Venise mais quand même …

Happened upon Osteria alle Testiere after a gondola ride. A table was available for lunch and we had to try it. We had some amazing food in Italy on our ten day trip, but our meal at Osteria alle Testiere was my favorite. The seafood and pasta was so fresh and the attention to detail stood out. Luca was very helpful with suggestions and explanations from the menu and Bruno created several masterpieces that were visually stunning and makes me want to travel back to Venice.

I had to checkout this eatery for my self after seeing them on a BBC streaming channel. Bruno is the chef in a tiny kitchen who dishes out huge flavored fare. He shops at the Rialto fish market and uses Venetian products. Luca works the front of the house. The dining room is tiny and the place is so small you have to walk through the coat room to get to the restroom. I had my best meal in Italy here. I chose from the menu the Octopus with avocados and radicchio, Ravioli with swordfish ragu, and for my final course grilled swordfish and vegetables.

Definitely a gem of a restaurant in Venice. The seafood is the freshest. The chef is absolutely amazing. We had many dishes and all of them were outstanding. The sole was the best fish I’ve ever had. Truely a MUST go. Limited seating so make a reservation in advance. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable.

The main issue about this place is the owner and chef. He is full of himself, a very arrogant guy who did not only mistreat one of his clients, but who also did not accept to change his mind and apologize himself, in the name of of “respect for his food”.
I guess he was under the effect of alcohol, since he was drinking wine while working.

Sitio de culto gastronómico. Tan y tan de culto, tan y tan purista, que se olvidan del cliente y ante la petición de un poco de queso para la pasta contesta con un ESTÁ PROHIBIDO y aquí mando yo, y se queda tan ancho. EGO…EGO…Y MÁS EGO. La comida bien pero tampoco para echar cohetes. Raciones escasas. No está justificado el precio. Pero lo peor, insisto: LA PÉSIMA ATENCIÓN

Υπέροχο και ευφάνταστο γεύμα ψαρικων μαγειρεμένα υπερνοστιμα και ελαφριά.
Δοκιμάστε οπωσδήποτε το πιάτο για δύο άτομα με ποικιλια ειδών ψαριών.
Το πρώτο πιάτο με θαλασσινα και αύριο ορτυκιου με πάστα αντζουγιας... Θα εκπλαγείτε από την απόλαυση!
Επίσης τα ραβιολια με ρικοτα και με μύδι επάνω.

A terrible experience. The restaurant is small and the tables are cramped. Service was extremely slow and took nearly 30 minutes from arriving to get a menu and order a drink. We were on the second sitting of the evening (9:30pm) so we were extremely hungry. The staff looked tired and bored and like they wanted to be anywhere else. When we got our food it was unpleasant. The service was inattentive despite the restaurant being so small they and made no remark or enquiry when they took away food that hadn't really been eaten. The worst meal we had in Venice and not cheap.

Une de mes adresses coups de cœur à Venise. L'accueil de ce resto était super sympa. Ça nous a bien plu.
