Une belle adresse d'East Chinatown où la bistronomie française rayonne sans fausse note. Pascal Geffroy, le chef propriétaire, n'en est pas à son galop d'essai, lui qui a dirigé des cuisines dans le Rhône avant de s'installer à Toronto. Au programme, de savoureux classiques comme la cassolette d'escargots, le tartare de bœuf, la cuisse de canard confite et le cassoulet royal. Côté bistronomie, on se laisse tenter par le tartare de bar avec lime, pignons de pin et mousse de tomate ou le vol-au-vent aux ris de veau et homard. Et que dire des desserts maison !

Batifole est un bistrot français intimiste situé à Toronto dans un cadre chaleureux, convivial et détendu. Son chef propriétaire, Pascal Geffroy, vous propose une délicieuse cuisine française authentique et raffinée. Vous pouvez y déguster une cassolette d’escargots, la soupe du chef, du tartare de bœuf, une cuisse de canard confite, le poisson du jour... Vous pouvez également opter pour un plat végétarien. Par accompagner vos plats, vous trouverez sur sa carte des vins pétillants, rouges, blancs et rosés. Notons que Batifole peut accueillir vos événements privés. I really like the atmosphere but had a bad experience with the service within the restaurant. I had dinner in this restaurant before and recommended my friend to go here together. However this time I had one of my worst experiences within a French restaurant in Toronto. I had dinner with my friend, the staff, and his name is Charles, was chatting with my friends during the whole time and ignoring me as a client. I felt like he treated me like a blank and like I was not there. I felt not appropriate and ignored as a client.
After several times being treated like I was not in the table, I was not able to focus on the food and was thinking about that I will never come here again and not recommend this place to anyone again. If I was not with my friend and was not care about her feeling and our dinner, I would get off the table and leave right away.
As a client pay the same amount and been polite to the staff all the time, I felt this the type of service I received is highly unprofessional. Highly not recommend and will not come again. I was kind enough to give him a good rating and good tip. But if I got any chance again, I won’t pay any tip.
