Tanankoay is tucked away in a small jungle about 10 mins walk up from the far side of the village. It’s a little oasis with plenty of quiet spots to sit and relax.
The rooms are fairly spacious huts with mosquito nets, electricity points, and a bathroom in the back.
Electricity is limited in the village and so the hotel uses solar. To conserve resources, electricity generally goes on in the evenings around 6pm-10pm-ish and then back on at 5am - so time to charge up devices before a day’s hiking.
Water is also precious and so it’s available for shower etc., but doing laundry in the room is discouraged.
My friend and I had a twin room for 65,000 MGA and the place provided good value for money.
For dinner, the menu rotates providing a couple of options depending on what is available and is usually something sourced locally (e.g fish, rice and veg, and freshly squeezed fruit juice). The food is delicious and care in taken to ensure a good experience.
They will also make sandwiches for you to take on a hike.

idealement situé pour le depart de la visite des tsinguy, l'hôtel possède des bungalows confortables spacieux en dur ou plus modestes en feuillages, confortables et propres avec un excellent rapport qualité prix.
Le restaurant sert des plats délicieux a petit prix.
NALY la gérante très sympatique est au petits soins pour vous rendre le séjour le plus agréable.

Merveilleux accueil par NALY.
Au calme. Grande chambre. Beau jardin. On mange bien. On est aux petits soins grâce à l'équipe. On recommande fortement. On reviendra.

Das Hotel liegt sehr idyllisch am Rand des Dorfes. Es ist perfekt um abzuschalten. Die Angestellten sind sehr höflich und hilfsbereit und die Zimmer haben alles was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank.
Man sollte wissen dass der der Strom nur Morgens und Abends angeschaltet wird. Eine Powerbank und eine Taschenlampe schaden deshalb nicht. WLAN gibt es nur zum Frühstück und Abendessen im Restaurant. Funktioniert aber gut.

This lodge is hidden in a small jungle.
It is ideal for people with a smaller budget but also if you just want to stay in a simple and quiet place with a welcoming team.
There is no swimming pool, instead you can relax on a sofa bed under the mango trees and listen to the birds, and watch the chameleon and lizards going about their life’s.
The manager of the hotel is very helpful, the team offers impeccable service, the menu changes everyday and will give you the energy for a visit in the Tsingy.
You will be well taken care of at Tanankoay.

Un lieu tranquille, loin de l'agitation, de grands bungalows.
Une bonne cuisine.
Par dessus tout, une Gérante toujours présente et prête à nous aider, le Personnel aussi est très sympathique.
Pour un bourg comme Bekopaka, à l'écart du confort moderne, c'est un hôtel très correct.

Excellent accueil avec Laly, très bonne cuisine et copieuse, chambre propre et confortable, idéal pour commencer des excursions ds les Tsingy...♥️????

Tanankoay Tsingy
Tout correspond à la description du Petit Futé : cadre sympa, bungalow confortable et bien équipé, repas excellents et qualité de l'accueil en prime, le tout pour un prix raisonnable ! Sans oublier la pépinière de baobab où on peut tout apprendre sur cet arbre symbolique, préparer un jeune plan et le baptiser !! (pensez à faire un don pour aider à plantation et à la protection des baobabs, la boîte est dans le restaurant de l'hôtel)

J'ai bien aimé dormir dans ces bungalows situé dans un grand jardin (dont le propriétaire nous a fait la visite en expliquant les plantes et les arbres fruitiers). Il ne faut pas être surpris de rencontrer quelques animaux dans les bungalows : lézard, grenouille,... et aussi malheureusement pas mal de moustiques! En général l'électricité est coupée la nuit mais il y a quand même un ventilateur qui fonctionne sur une prise solaire. Les repas étaient très bons, ainsi que les petits déjeuners et les jus de fruits. L'avantage est d'être situé juste à côté des Tsingys.

super sympa et très bon rapport qualité prix , d'ailleurs il y en a pour toutes les bourses ;
possibilité d'avoir aussi un excellent casse croute avec du pain maison super bon (ce qui est rare à mada) et d'etre ainsi paré pour la randonnée dans les tsyngys
