We photographed a fantastic wedding in Maslina Resort in October 2023. It exceeded all expectations! The grounds of the hotel were impeccably maintained, providing endless photo opportunities for the couple and their guests. The indoor spaces were equally impressive, with elegant decor and plenty of natural light. Overall, I would highly recommend the resort to any couple looking for a picturesque setting to say "I do." As a wedding photographer, I can confidently say that this venue is a dream to work with and provides the perfect backdrop for capturing beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

We absolutely loved staying at the Maslina Resort. It’s not only beautiful hotel, built in a sustainable way with beautiful rooms and views, but most of all it has an amazing service with very qualified people working there.

Only insta friendly hotel. K luxusnimu hotelu ma hodne daleko. Jidlo/piti predrazene a neodpovidalo kvalite, zadny pro kliensky pristup, vse jen pro hotel a jak ze zakazniku ziskat penize. Na pokojich je hluk a bud by mel byt hotel pro deti nebo pro dospele ale na michani tam neni prostor a rusi to obe strany. Hotel je mimo mesto a do mesta jako havr je mozne se dostat opet za penize. Odjizdime z dovoleni nastvani coz by nemelo byt.

High end retreat at the busy island of Hvar. Its the perfect place to relax. Excellent service at a convenient location. Amazing team. Comfortable and large rooms. Nice Spa. Various activities offered. Good breakfast but sometimes a bit slow. Great beach bar service whereas taste/quality of meals arent convincing. Free transfer service to the cozy and calm city of Stari Grad (or easy 30 min walk) with nice restaurants. Only downside: not enough sun-beds at Pool or “rocky beach”. Transfer to ferry station Hvar is pretty expensive for taxi service (55€ one way)

I didn't stay here, but had lunch while charging my car. The resort looks amazing and the staff is very kind and professional. The food, however, is far below expectations for such a resort and such prices. I had the beet root salad and a simple spaghetti with cheese and pepper. Both were bad on all fronts: creativity, presentation, and sadly also taste. The bread was stale and the self made pastes were bland. I really hope they improve the food considerably, because the resort seems amazing.

Hard to conceive of a more beautiful and thoughtfully constructed resort. Greatly exceeded our already high expectations in every way. A virtual paradise nestled inconspicuously into the natural paradise of Hvar Island.

Wonderful hotel, rooms are gorgeous and bright, staff are highly competent. My husband asked for pizza to be brought in one evening - nothing was too much trouble. Special recommendation for the spa - we had a 2 hour couples massage and it was phenomenal - both therapisrs were some of the best we have experienced. Breakfast was gorgeous and the hotel has a lovely free shuttle car to take you to and from Stari Grad. Now that we are in Dubrovnik...we kind of regret we didn't "end' our holiday with Maslina. Beautiful resort, wonderful staff and great food and wine. Special mention for the Champagne Risotto.

Nestled on the idyllic Island of Hvar, the Maslina resort is a hidden gem tucked away from the bustling tourist hubs, offering an exclusive retreat in the charming Stari Grad area. A true testament to gourmet excellence, this resort offers a breakfast menu that is nothing short of spectacular. The quality of the dishes is simply superb, with the Egg Benedict standing out as a wonderful delight.

The heart of this culinary haven is its kitchen, boasting top-notch quality and a culinary team led by an exceptional Executive Chef. This culinary mastermind's creations deserve nothing less than a Michelin star. The dishes that emerge from this kitchen are nothing short of amazing; the Sauce Béarnaise reminiscent of the flavors savored in Paris, and the signature dish of Mr. Maric, the first course, is a perfect introduction to the meal – light, astonishingly fresh, with delightful notes that tantalize the senses.

Adding to the charm of the experience is Garfield the Cat, a charming and endearing presence that adds a touch of warmth. The sommelier's expertise is truly remarkable, as evidenced by the excellent pairings that complement each dish flawlessly. Jurica is one of the talented Somelliers in Croatia.

The Chocolate Ice Cream, a delectable treat, adds a sweet finishing touch to the culinary journey.

While the overall experience is exceptional, there were moments of imperfection. The service, unfortunately, suffered from occasional lapses in speed and attention to detail. Some small items were forgotten, leaving a less than ideal impression. The staff's grasp of English could benefit from improvement, a minor blemish on an otherwise superb property.

However, redemption arrives in the form of the professional bar staff, both during the day and night shifts. The evening shift's prowess in crafting exceptional drinks is truly commendable. Their communication, even during closing time, sets a shining example of hospitality that others could learn from.

As a whole, the Maslina resort weaves a tapestry of excellence. While the cleanliness on the stairs and potentially hazardous parts along the path to the beach could use some improvement, these minor issues do little to dampen the overall experience. Spending a few days here is an exquisite way to embrace relaxation, exceptional cuisine, and the serene beauty of Hvar.

Wunderschönes Resort mit einer super entspannenden Atmosphäre und einen kompetenten freundlichen Service. Das kleine Boutique Hotel wurde mit sehr viel Stil entwickelt. Die Portionen vom Essen könnten etwas größer sein, sonst schmeckt das Essen sehr gut. Wunderschöne Natur abgelegen auf der Insel und dennoch nur 30 Minuten von Hvar entfernt.

Het enige minpunt van het hotel is het zand strandje, beetje brak en nep.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at a Maslina resort in Hvar Island that left me with mixed feelings. While the property boasted a stunning design and an exceptionally friendly staff, my overall experience was marred by the disappointing dining options. With an exorbitant price tag, I expected nothing short of perfection, yet the culinary offerings fell far short of my expectations.

Let's start with the positives. The resort's design was nothing short of breathtaking. Every corner exuded elegance and sophistication, making for a truly luxurious atmosphere. From the meticulously landscaped gardens to the well-appointed rooms, the attention to detail in the resort's aesthetic was second to none. I found myself wandering around the property just to soak in the beauty of the architecture and design elements.

Additionally, the staff at the resort were some of the friendliest and most accommodating individuals I have encountered. They were always ready with a warm smile and eager to assist with any requests or inquiries. From the moment I arrived until my departure, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest.

However, the true disappointment arose when it came time to dine at the resort's highly acclaimed and expensive restaurant. My high hopes were quickly shattered as I encountered a series of issues that were simply unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber.

The first concern was the forgetfulness of the staff. They consistently seemed overwhelmed, leading to orders being misplaced or forgotten entirely. Waiting for our meals became an arduous task, and some dishes arrived cold while others were completely different from what we had ordered.

Sadly, the taste of the food was not up to par with the resort's reputation. While some dishes showed promise, most were lackluster and failed to impress. The flavors seemed muted, and the execution of the dishes lacked finesse. It was evident that the kitchen was not living up to the standard one would expect from a 5-star hotel.

Another letdown was the apparent mismatch of ingredients used in the dishes. Considering the restaurant's premium pricing, I expected a seamless integration of high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. However, some combinations were confusing and seemed as if little thought had been put into their creation.

Taking into account the steep price of dining at this restaurant, the overall value was simply terrible. For such a significant investment, one should reasonably expect an exceptional culinary experience that would complement the beauty and luxury of the resort. Unfortunately, the subpar dining significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of our stay.

In conclusion, while the resort dazzled with its awe-inspiring design and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, the poor dining experience left us disappointed and questioning the value of our stay. The resort undoubtedly has the potential to be a standout destination, but until they address the issues plaguing their dining offerings, I would find it challenging to recommend it to others seeking a top-notch culinary experience in Hvar Island.

The Ambiente in the restaurant (on the terrace) is very calming. The food was simply perfect and our server Kemal really gave us a once in a lifetime serving experience.
The only thing I personally didn’t like and even found to be questionable was that they serve San Pellegrino Water despite preaching that the resort values regionality hence I would expect the bottled water to be from Croatia.

We dined at the restaurant for dinner and it was an overall magnificent experience. From start to finish, the attentiveness and attention to detail from the staff was top notch - not too much, and not too little. We started with the Sea Bass Ceviche which had well thought out and intricate flavors. For our mains we enjoyed the Champagne Risotto and the 180g Beef Filet. Both dishes were incredibly well done in their own right. The presentation, flavor and quality were all evident and fitting of Maslina. It is abundantly clear they have heard the feedback of past seasons and have made adjustments - primarily putting Chef Miro Marić at the helm - and those changes are paying off in a big way. We highly recommend you enjoy a meal here, we definitely did.

This restaurant is incredible. We ate both lunch and dinner here and we were blown away. We’ve traveled all over and have never had such a consistent meal start to finish. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The service was impeccable and the restaurant is beautiful. I don’t understand the bad ratings because it really is that good. Worth a visit when on Hvar! We’ll be going back again before we leave the island.

We spent 4 nights at the Maslina Resort and while the resort and the staff are lovely, the quality of the restaurant is unfortunately, terrible. Almost every dish we ordered, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, was poor. Toast stale and/or hard like a rock, eggs either burnt or undercooked, lunch snacks dry and often seemed like they had been cooked hours earlier and heated up. On top of this, the prices are extremely expensive, so not only is the food pretty awful, its terrible value too. As soon as we found out Stari Grad was a 30 minute walk away, we went there for all lunches and dinners. Until Maslina resort makes some serious changes to their kitchen, we could not recommend staying there.

Menus were brought to us but the waiter forgot the wine list, so we had to request it. Food arrived, but one of our meals had been forgotten (very poor as it was only the two of us on the table!). The forgotten meal arrived 25 minutes later. At no point did anyone apologize for the mistake. When paying this sort of money for a meal the service should be outstanding. Food was good quality, but not stunning.

The food disappointed on so many levels. First, the good, the scallop appetizer was very good. Also of note was the fried risotto (sounds strange, I know but it was the highlight of the meal...). Up next, the tuna tartare; it looked good but flavor wise..eh, I have had better in so many places. Then, we tried the fish entree...the fish was paper thin but its utmost sin was that it was dry! Now we have to talk about the lobster,... was it good? No, it was average at best and served in a bowl of overpowering cream soup. We did order some polenta on the side and that polenta was very good ????. To finish the meal, we ordered two desserts: a sorbet with some goat cheese and a lemon crumble (cake?). Both desserts were lack luster. I almost forgot, the amuse bouche that came at the beginning of the meal was couscous, and it was not good. Don't eat the bread that comes with the meal, it's terrible. Remember to order a lot of wine because the wine was great.
