The room is small (expected) but the condition is relatively bad. No lift so you had to be mentally prepared to climb (I got the highest 4th floor)... I was a little disappointed because there were reviews i saw previously that the Eiffel Tower can be seen from the window but was not the case. The wall need to be painted with peeling paint, the safe was not working (it was locked and not able to open it)... The soundproof... is there? I can hear people from other levels closing their door when they step out from their room... The bathroom is small so for people like me who may not be used to tight spaces, will keep hitting the sides... The toilet door itself i cant even close it tight and lock it... Oh they dont provide any bathroom slippers, shampoo, body shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, only hand soap... So if you expect all these i afraid you had to bring your own or buy from the Carrefour City the next day (for our case it was already closed when we arrived on check in day)... Good running hot water for the bathroom... No kettle is provided so you had to go down and take hot water... Bed is 2 single beds combined into 1... Bed was fine except the pillows is quite soft... They will do daily housekeeping and replenish 2 units of drinking water unless you put out the sign at the doorknob...
I didnt opt for breakfast so no comments on it but i can see the utensils are stacked at the sink every morning during my stay there when i went to fill up hot water...
Staffs generally were fine but sad to know they would have everything... We wanted to post some postcards but were told no glue... My wife got a broken nail and we asked for a nail cutter they too had none (I can understand for the latter but was expecting that full stationeries would be available in case it is needed)... Wifi? Yes there is but is open wifi network...
In terms of location, quite convenient with various grocers and eateries around... Abt 15 mins walk to Eiffel Tower and 25 mins (or so) to Seine Riverbank...
To make matters worse, we were asked when leaving the hotel room to return the room key to the front desk, which is common in Europe. However, we were repeatedly given the incorrect key upon return. This was especially aggravating given that the hotel only has stairs, and we were on the fifth floor.
